    Confusion over item shipped/not shipped on date indicated, but Jason Scott at Abes of Maine worked tirelessly to correct the problem, and I am extremely satisfied with that kind of customer satisfaction, guaranteed! I would not only recommend this merchant to a friend, I will use them again myself. They did everything to fix a problem. I expect they seldom have one, but they will fix it if they do.     Overall, I am pleased with Abes of Maine. I rated the "backordered notices" as "poor" not due to poor "visibility" issues, but for a problem I experienced in a past order waiting for an item to become available for 3 months when it indicated it would be available in 2 to 3 days... I had not written a review on this item (Canon Rebel Camera). This is my third time ordering from them and I would use them again with no hesitation.

    I was hesitant to try an online order for camera because of so many horror stories about gray-market items, high pressure sales calls, etc.However, although I did get the sales call 2 days after placing the order it was relatively easy and painless and there wasnt any pressure--just checking order and advising of reasonable add-ons.I ordered a wrong item (battery) and Abes was absolutely fantastic with the return/exchange. The return and exchange was even easier than placing the order!I will definitely order through them again. Great shipping and their prices are with a buck or two of the absolute bottom prices that Ive seen but I just felt comfortable dealing with them.

    Not only did I get a great price on the HDTV I bought, but when problems arose after the deal was done, Abes of Maine really came through! First up: there was a problem getting my HDTV delivered before I was to leave on a business trip. John in customer service worked directly with the shipping company and arranged to have my item delivered a day earlier than scheduled. Then I found out that the extended warranty Id bought was with a company that had just been dropped from the BBB for failing to respond to complaints against it. Jason in customer service at Abes offered to switch my warranty to another company. I checked out the new warranty company: no problems. So I accepted Jasons offer. It?s incredibly rare to find an online vendor like Abes of Maine whose customer service is so responsive *after* the sale is done. Kudos to John and Jason in customer service.. and to Abes of Maine, an company that cares about its customers."

    I ordered a camera and I received a defective one ( i shouldnt say it as a defective one, but had some scars on the display). So i called the help desk and they provided me the RMA# and UPS account # to ship back the camera. And i received a replacement within 8 days and its good.I would definitely do more shopping and certainly recommend it to a friend.

    Everything was great. I called and asked if I would have the order the next day with next day shipping and they said it would be. It showed up as promised and at a great price. I purchased the SB800 Nikon flash which is also great.

    Order was filled promptly and smoothly. (Unadvertised discount appeared in cart; which made the price even better.) Free shipping is very much appreciated.Have ordered from this merchant a few times. All went very well. I do recommend this merchant. Relatives have ordered on my recommendation. There was one attempt to cross-sell additional products during phone confirmation of order, but there were no issues when this offer was declined.
