I called to cancel the order on November 28. The person on the phone assured me that my order had not shipped but told me they could not cancel over the phone. I followed his instructions and sent e-mail to cancel. On Dec 2, I got word that my mail had arrived too late, that that the order had shipped. This mail arrived simply from "Lupe" with no mention of California Computer in the subject line or "from" field.The package arrived after a FedEx mistaken delivery. Instead of the HP Two-Pack Id ordered, there were two loose inkjet cartridges wrapped in brown paper in the box. The packets were still sealed and I dont suspect theyre refills or remanufactures, but theyre still not exactly what I ordered.Overall, they level of professionalism in the packaging and shipping is every bit as good as the professionalism, honesty, and promptness in their customer service... which is to say "none."

An HP ink cartridge was ordered and not received. I was advised that Fed Ex left it at the door. Either it wasnt sent, Fed Ex lost/stole it or it was taken from my door. Regardless of the cause, I never got it. We are always home so it should have been delivered. California Computer refused to contact Fed Ex or send a replacement ink cartrige. It was only a $ 20 item. Imagine if it was something expensive. This was my first and last time dealing with them.

Some items were not on their Web site but a call to customer service resulted in patient help and the successful completion of the order. I wonder how many sales are lost because a customer doesnt hook up with a sales rep?The web sites Order Status needs to be updated to list orders. A full week after I placed the order my order number was NOT on its web site compelling me to waste the time of tech support to answer my query on its status. Had it been listed I would have had the information without having to send an e-mail to inquire. Additionally not seeing it online made me nervous that something had happened to the order. Such was not the case but if youre going to have an Order Status link then keeping it updated helps everyone not to mention saves everyone time.P.S. Question # 1 Visibility of "discontinued" and/or "back ordered" notices is not at all clear (at least to me). Since I didnt really know what you were asking I put Good as opposed to Excellent.
