- Samsung's LN46A650 ($1800 as of November 4, 2008--$100 more than its older sibling, the LN46A550, but significantly less than two other competing 46-inch sets, the Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U and the Panasonic TH-46PZ800U) is a joy to use from the moment you turn it on for the first time. That's when a wizard asks you to pick a language and inquires whether you'll be using the TV at home or in a store. Then it searches for channels and you're ready to go.

Duration of ownership: 0 Month

Strengths: Samsung simply topped off every brand of HDTV. Sony is Samsung's direct competitor, but Sony's LCD is too expensive when compared to Samsung's LCD. This HDTV is an energy saver along with perfect image quality for Blu-ray movies. I recommend you to check out http://www.squidoo.com/best-hdtv for information on what is the best and cheapest HDTV to buy for 2009. It also tells you why LCDs are better than the plasma.

Weaknesses: I can't think of one. The one I can think of is that the visual performance of this LCD is too good to be true.

Overall Evaluation: As and electronics sales, I recommend Samsung for its low price and high performance.

Strengths: Crystal Clear Picture Quality. Very Good Energy saver. Easy to Setup. Lots of input ports! Superb movie quality!

Weaknesses: It's a bit pricey!

Overall Evaluation: This is an absolute MUST for everyone looking to get a new HDTV! ...BUT, the price is a little to high in my opinion, I never would have got one if I never got mine for FREE!. Luckily a friend recommended this website to me before I went and bought one: **- www.hdtv.justgetitfree.com - ** . I checked out the website, completed ONE simple offer and met the requirements to receive one for FREE, it arrived a month later in the post! It was also shown on BBC and CNN news!!
