Apple MobileMe Syncing Service Review
- To coincide with the release of the company's iPhone 3G, Apple overhauled its Mac-centric .Mac service and renamed it--seemingly without irony--MobileMe. In addition to the new name and the vaguely Windows ME-esque logo, the new service introduces one notable new feature: the ability to sync with iPhones, iPods, and PCs.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: This must have application is well worth the money and the convenience of keeping everything in sync is even better than I expected.
Weaknesses: None noted.
Overall Evaluation: I'm glad I purchased MobileMe but I'm also glad I waited several months after its initial release on July 11. Various discussion forums around the internet were saying MobileMe had many problems such as activation delays, extended email outages, slow response, and sync failure. I'm happy to report that it works flawlessly for me. Apparently all the early problems have been resolved. The functionality and usefulness is even better than I expected. The me.com website allows me to sync email, contacts, etc. from any computer, anywhere, anytime. The response is nearly immediate. The convenience is well worth the $ and I think the MobileMe website is well thought out with an intuitive user interface. Highly recommended... you can't go wrong with this product.
