Pioneer Elite BDP-95FD Blu-ray Disc Player Review
- Compared with other players we've tested, Pioneer charges a high premium for its Elite BDP-95FD--$1000 (as of 4/24/08), or more than twice the price of some players we've reviewed. The price would make sense if you were paying by the pound: This sucker is heavy (14.3 pounds).

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Amazing picture and quality the Pioneer brand is known for.
Weaknesses: Price.
Overall Evaluation: I got this Blu-ray player after buying the Pioneer Elite PRO-110FD HDTV and VSX-94TXH receiver. I've been very impressed with the quality of both of these items that I decided to go with the same brand Blu-ray player. It also didn't hurt that I got a 40% off deal for it. The main drawback I see is that it doesn't support the 2.0 Bu-ray spec to support BD-Live in the future. However, I'm not sure how relevant that feature will be for me.
